The short version
We use your information to help you get a mortgage and to stay in touch about it. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with other companies so they can market to you.
This website has no sign-up forms. The calculators run in your browser, and the numbers you type are not sent to us or stored.
What we collect
When you visit this website. Like any website, our hosting provider automatically receives standard technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you view. Fonts and some page code load from third-party providers, which also receive your IP address when a page loads.
When you call, text or email us. Your name, contact details and whatever you choose to tell us about your situation.
When you apply. To evaluate a mortgage, we and the lenders we work with need information such as:
- Your name, contact details, date of birth and Social Security number
- Income, employment, assets, debts and bank statements
- Credit history and credit scores
- Details about the property and the loan you want
- Demographic information that federal law asks lenders to collect, which you may choose not to provide
Applications are taken through a secure online portal run by our loan software provider. That portal has its own privacy terms, which you'll see when you use it.
How we use it
- To answer your questions and give you options and quotes
- To process your application and shop it with wholesale lenders
- To verify your information and close your loan
- To meet our legal and regulatory obligations
- To send you updates you've asked for, such as rate alerts
How we protect it
We use physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect your information, and only the people working on your loan can access it. We keep loan records for as long as federal and state law require, then dispose of them securely.
Cookies, tracking and links
We don't use advertising trackers on this website. We may use privacy-friendly analytics to understand which pages are useful, such as how many people visit and from what kind of device. That information isn't used to identify you.
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. Because we don't track you across other websites, there's nothing for that signal to turn off.
Links to other websites, including our application portal, are covered by those sites' own privacy policies.
Your choices and state rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it. Residents of California and other states may have additional rights under state law. Much of the information collected for a mortgage is covered by federal financial privacy law instead, but we'll always tell you what applies. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
